Some highlight videos of plays from 2012-2013 season (U10)

Here are a few short video clips showing some nice plays by the U10 team last season.

1. V-Cut

This video could be filed under the dictionary definition of ‘v-cut’. Watch Jon W make a brilliant v-cut, totally leaving his man in the dust and getting great shooting position (he gets fouled). The ability to draw fouls is a major part of the game of guards like James Harden, Dwayne Wade, etc.

2. High pick-and-roll

After getting the sweet dish from Nick W, Ethan is silky smooth going to the basket

3. Unselfish play, lots of passing, good movement off the ball

Jon W pushes the ball down the court but when he sees a second defender sliding over to stop him, he dishes off to Nicholas P who draws two defenders. Nicholas P passes to Julian. Julian dribbles into the corner and is getting trapped when the drops a nice bounce pass to Nicholas P who has dived into the space under the basket. Nicholas P is too far under the basket, so he dribbles down the baseline, meanwhile Jon W makes a great cut into the center of the paint and gets a sweet bounce pass from Nicholas P. The shot doesn’t fall, but this clip is a good example of unselfish play and good passing.

4.  Setting monster pick, smart movement off the ball, get pass and score

Zach sets a monstrous pick on the poor defender, knocking him away from Nick W.  Zach then hustles into great position on the weak side, collect the hockey pass and scores! Great play, Zach.
